Locked Inn is a free study app for students, accessible at locked-inn1.netlify.app. This policy covers the information handled when you use it.
We only collect what's needed to run the app:
Your account and study data are stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), a widely used and trusted service. Security rules ensure that only you can access your own data. Photos you send to the AI tutor are processed to generate a response and are not permanently saved.
Only to make the app work for you — to log you in, save your progress, sync it across devices, send you exam reminders, and generate AI responses and study material you request. That's it.
Locked Inn is designed for students, including those under 18. We collect as little information as possible. If you are under 18, please use the app with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian wants a child's account removed, contact us at multi2editor@gmail.com.
We aim to handle your information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA): we collect only what's necessary, use it only for the stated purpose, keep it secure, and let you request its deletion.
Locked Inn is provided free of charge to help you study. You agree to use it fairly and lawfully, and not to misuse it, attempt to break it, or use it to harm others.
You're responsible for keeping your login details private. One account is meant for one person. Let us know if you think someone else has accessed your account.
The AI tutor, flashcards, and study material are generated automatically by artificial intelligence. They're a study aid, not a guaranteed source of truth. AI can sometimes be wrong or incomplete. Always double-check important facts against your textbooks, teachers, and official materials. Locked Inn is not responsible for errors in AI-generated content or for exam outcomes.
Links to past exam papers point to external websites (such as Stanmore Physics) that we don't own or control. We're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those external sites.
We work to keep the app running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Free AI features may occasionally be limited or paused due to usage limits. We may update, change, or add features at any time.
The notes, flashcards, and material you create belong to you. By using the app you allow us to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.
From time to time Locked Inn may run competitions or giveaways. Each will have its own specific rules shown in the app (how to enter, closing dates, how winners are chosen and notified, and claim deadlines). Where a winner is under 18, a parent or guardian must claim any prize on their behalf. Winners are drawn fairly, and our decision on the running of any competition is final.
Locked Inn is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated study content or exam results.
We may update this page from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app means you accept the current version.
